On sunday I visited Bannerman Island, an island in the middle of the hudson river. We took a boat over for a tour. Bannerman Island was a military surplus warehouse site, which is now just the ruins of the house and castle. More information can be found on the website.

Regina Spektor, a writer of beautiful lyrics, has added 2 songs from Her upcoming album, “Begin to Hope,” on her myspace page.

The two songs, “Fidelity” and “Better,” live up to Regina’s other works, and give me hope that the rest of the album will be as lovely. I reccomend everyone give these beautiful works a listen.

School Blames Myspace for teenage idiocy on the internet, news at 11!

“About mid morning today we were able to confirm that the web site ‘MySpace-dot-com’ allowed several students to post threatening messages on it’s web site, messages threatening Warren High School,” Pascual Gonzales of the Northside School District said. “This message said two boys were planning to show up at school with guns.”

Yep, some idiots posted on myspace they we’re gonna show up at school with guns. And what happened?

“The vast majority of students either didn’t come to school, or came to school and went home out of fear.”

Cool, so they care about their lives, and didn’t show up instead of just reporting it when they saw it. Great.

Gonzales said Northside officials will also hold MySpace-dot-com “accountable.”"It just seems to me that if you put up a public web site, and you allow students, teeangers, minors to post their thoughts and ideas, and not monitor it in an adult manner, you are asking for trouble,” Gonzales said. “This particular web site has been a pain for all Bexar County schools for a long time now, and it just seems that the owners of MySpace-dot-com should be held accountable.”

Yes, if you start a public website, because people are going to start a private one! Oh and monitor it. We don’t care that you have better things to do like fix bugs (ok ok this is myspace, I know thats not happening), add features, and help users. We want you to check every single message posted!
Myspace already allows users to report inappropiate content via their website. If anyone reported this and they didn’t notify the school, fine, they have some fault, although I don’t know if they are legally required to notify them, since many times people say things on the internet just to be tough. But as crappy as myspace is, they can not be expected to monitor every single thing going on on the website, their users should maybe grow some brains and report what doesn’t seem right.

Reading through the internet news like a timewaster I am, I came across this today. A man’s ex invited him over to rekindle their friendship, then when he fell asleep (Why was he sleeping over in the first place?):

Slaby said O’Toole waited until he fell asleep and glued his penis to his stomach, glued his testicle to his leg and glued the cheeks of his buttocks together.
Then came the nail polish.
Slaby claimed O’Toole dumped it all over his head.

Seriously, what is up with that? This lady is one retarded lady. But it gets even more retarded:

Family guy movie LEAKED

2 Months before it was due to be released straight to dvd, the Family guy movie is already floating around the internet in both dvd-r and xvid versions, and it is the real thing.

A description of the movie: In this exclusive 83 minute DVD premiere, featuring brand new, never before seen content, Stewie, the maniacal baby genius, is distracted from his plans for world domination when he sees a man who looks just like him on television. Convinced that this man must be his real father (after all, how could he possibly share genetic material with the dimwitted Peter?), Stewie sets off on a cross-country road trip to find him. But his incredible journey leads him to discoveries far more vile and shocking that anything found in his diaper.

From what I’ve seen of it so far, it is awesome and a must see, and I will most likely buy it when it comes out to support family guy because the series rocks and deserves the money.

Ill not post any spoilers here so that everyone who reads this will be spared having it ruined OMG for them, but once again, it is AWESOME and you MUST see it.
